In the past five days, millions of Americans have seen their monthly
health insurance premiums double — and millions more will no longer be
able to afford their premiums at all — because Republicans cut Affordable
Care Act subsidies to finance tax cuts for their billionaire donors.

Our healthcare system is broken.

The fight over these ACA cuts led to the longest government shutdown in
American history. During that time, Alexandria visited residents in The
Bronx to better figure out how we can fight back as we continue the fight
for Medicare For All.

We need to stand up for the American people.

And we need to do what we can to make healthcare affordable and accessible
as we work to make it a human right for all.

Some people might call it "extreme," but Alexandria is fighting in
Congress to make sure that the people of this country don't have to skip
or ration their prescriptions just to survive the Trump administration.
