John,

Please join DeKalb Commission candidate Ted Terry & Georgia Public Service Commission candidate Daniel Blackman for a virtual town hall on energy equity in Georgia, tonight at 5:30 pm on Facebook Live.

The PSC, as it's known in short-hand, has the power and responsibility to ensure Georgians have an affordable energy bill, and that our state is getting more of our power from clean, renewable sources, and less from dirty pollution-causing energy sources like coal or fracked gas.

The PSC is one of the most powerful elected offices in Georgia that few people have heard of, or know much about.

This 5 member quasi-judicial body is tasked with regulating Georgia Power Company, among other entities like gas and telcom.

Commissioners have the power to make sure we have equitable energy policies and that it doesn't cost more for our low to middle income neighbors to keep the lights on.

Here at Team Ted we want to spread the word about elections like this, and make sure everyone knows how important positions like the PSC are for ALL Georgians.

We hope you can join us for this important discussion about where inequities exist in the current rate payer system and how we can change and balance out those issues to create a Public Service Commission that is truly the people's champion.
