@RecorderDannyO: **Important** It is with great disappointment that I share that the Veteran Photo-ID Cards issued by Ohio County Recorders’ Offices appear to no longer be considered eligible forms of voter ID. This change is part of the new voter ID law, HB 458, signed into law on 1/6/23.

Ohio counties are grappling with the impact of their voter suppression law that enacts stringent voter identification laws.

Franklin County, home to the state capitol of Columbus and more than a million Ohioans, is among the counties that are no longer able to accept veterans photo ID cards issued by the county as proof for voting because of Ohio's law.
