Hello,
Last night, Susan Collins and I were both facing our final FEC fundraising deadline of 2025. We set an incredibly ambitious goal, and with help from people like you, I am happy to report back that we hit it! Thank you.
This will go down in history as one of the most perilous periods in time that our democracy has ever faced. As we enter 2026, one thing is clear: The stakes could not be higher. Winning is paramount.
It’s easy to throw up your hands or resign yourself to the dark times that may still lie ahead. But instead, I am hopeful. I choose to believe that we still can – and must – come out on the other side of this with a politics that looks different. We cannot just return back to the status quo that got us here. We cannot just keep electing the same leaders who set up the rigged system that laid the ground to give rise to this kind of authoritarianism in the first place.
If my New Year’s resolution is anything, it is to continue to believe and hold hope and work harder than ever to achieve the things we know are possible: To defeat Susan Collins. To take back our country from the oligarchs and the fascists. To unmask the armed secret police running our streets. To stand up to AIPAC and end taxpayer-funded genocide and stupid foreign wars. To fight for Medicare for All. To fight for big things that will actually lower the cost of housing, child care, and groceries. To dare to dream of a better future for my children and yours.
I believe in these things. I am ready to fight for these things. And if you are too, then I ask you to continue to stand alongside me on this journey throughout 2026 and beyond.
In solidarity,
Graham Platner
