A lot of campaigns have the luxury of looking at a $743 fundraising gap, and just saying “close enough.” Some campaigns can fall short of a goal every now and then, without it really impacting the election. Not here in CA-47.

My last race? It came down to just 2 percentage points. That’s just a few thousand votes out of 350,000 total ballots. And with Prop 50 still tied up in Trump’s courts? Who knows what the next election will look like.
