This is my final ask of 2025, friend.


This year, I've spent time talking with rangers who are barely holding our national parks together after losing nearly a quarter of their permanent workforce and enduring weeks of uncertainty and overwork during the government shutdown. Watching our forests and the wildlife they support get put on the auction block by the Trump administration. Hearing from Alaska Native leaders who are fighting, yet again, to stop their ancestral homelands from being plundered by greedy corporations.

I'll be honest: it's heavy. This work has asked a lot of you, me, and all of us who care about the future of our public lands and climate. But these places, these ecosystems, are worth the fight.
