Now that Trump has harmed Boebert and the people she claims to care about and represent, it’s clear: the monster has turned on its creator.
John,
When Donald Trump called Colorado Gov. Jared Polis a “SLEAZEBAG” because Polis refused to roll over and release the convicted felon and election tamperer, Tina Peters, from state prison, Lauren Boebert eagerly applauded him.
When Trump uprooted Space Command HQ from Colorado, relocating it to Huntsville, Alabama at great expense to taxpayers for no other reason than loyalty to him and to MAGA, Boebert shrugged—and blamed Democrats.
When Trump declared he would dismantle the U.S. National Science Foundation’s (NSF) National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR), hurting its 830 employees and life-saving climate science, Boebert stayed silent.
When Trump claimed without evidence or facts that mail-in voting was rife with fraud and abuse, Boebert nodded along. Colorado is a universal vote-by-mail state. Rural voters benefit greatly from mail-in voting. Trump himself casts a mail-in ballot in Florida.
Boebert was more than happy to see the MAGA monster she had a role in creating attack things she doesn’t like: democracy, voting rights, abortion rights, you name it.
But now that Trump has harmed Boebert and the people she claims to care about and represent, Boebert is freaking out. The monster has turned on its creator.
This was a predictable outcome for anyone with half a brain (unlike Boebert’s MAGA monster). But Lauren Boebert is learning it the hard way. And it’s the people of this district in Colorado who will suffer.
Enough is enough. Trisha Calvarese, former NSF civil servant, has been laying the groundwork to defeat Lauren Boebert for months. This team has outraised and outworked her at every turn. And we will do it again until the job is done—because Boebert’s time is up.
Boebert only won re-election because of 546votes. In 2024, her Democratic opponent Trisha Calvarese had the best performance a Democrat has ever had in this district—overperforming Kamala Harris by 6 pts, as Boebert underperformed Trump in every single county.
