Just days ago, many Ukrainian families observed Sviatyi Vechir - Christmas Eve - a tradition marked by gathering around the table and lighting a single candle to honor our loved ones who are far away or can't come home.
This year, for so many, that candle flickered with pain. The ache of absence. With grief. But it also burned with HOPE in the middle of war - fragile, enduring, and deeply needed.
