To underscore just how high the stakes are, President Trump vetoed a bill that would provide clean water to rural Coloradans as retribution for convicted felon and election denier Tina Peters remaining in prison (where she belongs). 

This morning, Trump personally attacked Coloradans, telling us to “rot in Hell” because we do not stand for convicted felons going free because the President directly benefited from their crimes. 

This is exactly what we are up against in 2026: corruption, retribution, and a President who knows nothing but disdain for the country he is supposed to serve.

What we raise by the end of today will directly support our efforts to fight back and win, including:

• Defeat Gabe Evans and hold him accountable
• Defeat Lauren Boebert and the remaining Republican members of Congress
• Elect a Democratic slate for Governor, Attorney General, and Secretary of State
• Protect our majorities

Republicans and national outside groups are already planning massive spending in Colorado, fueled by election denialism and extreme rhetoric coming straight from the top of their party. To stay competitive, and to protect our democracy, we need to be fully resourced from the very start of the cycle.
