I announced I was running for reelection back in April, and I was excited to continue advancing this grassroots movement alongside all of you.
But within weeks, AIPAC was already running polls in my district, testing the waters on a corporate-backed, pro-Israel candidate who could challenge me. A few months later, a DNC member jumped into the race to defeat me.
The truth is, we have no idea what’s coming our way next year. There’s still plenty of time for more challengers to enter this race and receive millions in support from outside spenders and special interests.
So, this FEC deadline isn’t just any deadline. This is our chance to prove to AIPAC, the media, and the entire political establishment that our campaign is stronger than ever.
But with little time left, we are still behind on our fundraising goals.
And if we fall short, we’ll send the opposite message: that this campaign isn’t as strong as it once was. That this campaign is vulnerable to attacks from corporate PACs, special interests, and even Trump and the entire far-right.
We can’t have that.
