I just checked ActBlue and I needed to reach out. We’re closing the books on our end-of-quarter fundraising drive in a few hours, and we’re still falling short of our grassroots fundraising goal. Can I count on you to chip in right now to help us close the gap?

I’m sorry to be so blunt, but this is important.

Right now, there isn’t a single Democrat representing Iowa in Congress. That means when bills that affect things like prices, health care, or reproductive rights come to the floor, we don’t have a single person focused on working families or voting on your behalf.

Instead, we have self-serving politicians like Zach Nunn who care more about cozying up to Donald Trump and Mike Johnson than improving the lives of hardworking Iowans.

That’s why we can’t afford to miss this next goal - and it’s a big one. I like to think every one of our benchmarks is important. It’s a big part of my job to ensure we have the resources to scale up our digital program, hire key staff, and get in the field talking to voters.

But on top of all of that, this time we’re also required to report our fundraising publicly for everyone to see. Yes, that includes Zach Nunn, national Republican groups, and Donald Trump.

We’re putting up a hell of a fight, and polling shows that Zach Nunn is uniquely vulnerable for defeat. But we can only stay competitive in this race if we can raise the resources we need to reach voters in every corner of IA-03 before the GOP can drown us out.
