Join us to create kid-sized train cars! We’ll provide the boxes and craft supplies—you supply the imagination. Open to children of all ages.

The Kids’ Express is ready to roll! Join us for a festive indoor parade featuring kid-made train cars, chugging through the Library for all to enjoy. Stick around for a special storytime celebrating trains at the end of the line!

Calling all Pokémon fans in grades K-9! Join us on the 2nd and 4th Fridays after school.
- 2nd Friday of the month: Enjoy snacks, trade your cards, and express your creativity with a Pokémon-related craft.
- 4th Friday of the month: Sharpen your skills! We'll focus on playing Pokémon TCG and sharing tips for caring for and collecting cards.

Reading Alcove
Adventurers of all ages are invited to join on the third Wednesday of the month for this volunteer-led imaginary role-play game. New to D&D? Never fear! Players of all skill levels are welcome.
 Shine with Diamond Art
Thursday, January 22, 6-7:45 p.m.
Learning Center
Kick off the year by discovering (or continuing!) the relaxing, colorful craft of diamond art. Join us for a fun, hands-on evening where you can start a brand-new project or bring along your current work-in-progress. All supplies are provided, and no experience is needed!

 Sensory Friendly Browsing Hour
Wednesday, January 28, 9-10 a.m.
Explore the Library before regular hours with softer lights, minimal noise, and fewer screens. Pick up a free Take & Make Sensory Picky Pad to enjoy at home. Free registration is required at hursttx.gov/hplsignup as space is limited.
