John, these threats to Minnesota's children are great. This summer, the MN Department of Education released its second draft of new Health Education Standards.The Sexual Health portion includes required student learning expectations that expose children to sexualized content in early elementary school and are developmentally inappropriate.
Additionally, Minnesota's children face the threat of stumbling across online p*rn. The average age of first exposure is just twelve years old. And three-quarters of children have viewed p*rnography by age seventeen.
We must protect children across our state from these threats.
