Patriot,

My base in Iraq received more than 100 credible threat streams —
drones, rockets, militias, ISIS remnants — all aiming at one thing:
killing Americans.

 

Some nights, I worked 18 hours straight in the strike cell identifying
incoming attacks and helping protect over 6,000 coalition troops.
Other nights, I wondered if I’d ever make it home.

But I never hesitated.

Not once.

Because when lives are on the line — YOU DON’T GET TO FREEZE.

That’s something Washington has forgotten.

And now, as I’m stepping into this mission at home, I’m facing a
different kind of pressure: MY FIRST-EVER END-OF-YEAR FUNDRAISING
DEADLINE AS A CANDIDATE FOR CONGRESS.

This isn’t just a date on a calendar. It’s the moment national
leaders look at what we report and decide whether this campaign is
taken seriously or quietly written off.

I didn’t come home from Iraq to be dismissed by political insiders.
I came home to serve — again — and to fight for a nation I’ve
already risked everything to defend.
