When I first ran to represent CO-01 in Congress, this wasn't just another job for me. I was running because the fight for your rights is personal to me.

I was a civil rights lawyer before joining Congress. I worked with people who felt like they had no voice, no one in their corner, and no one to stand up for them. I realized that to protect our rights on a bigger scale, I needed to take this fight to Washington. I made that leap, and I've been fighting every single day since.

This year, Donald Trump and the GOP have relentlessly attacked our rights and our democracy at every turn. They think they can overwhelm us until we give up the fight. But I'm not backing down. I refuse to sit back while those in power use our health care access and economic futures like political bargaining chips.

Johh: Denver is my home, and you are my neighbors. Your voice deserves to be heard and your rights deserve to be protected. No one, not even the president, will stop me from going to bat for our community.
