Dear John,
As we close out 2025 and look towards 2026, we feel more hopeful each day. While our communities and families are struggling and our public schools are under attack, we all collectively built a whole lot this year. We built community. We built a shared understanding of what is right and wrong. We protected each other. We built skills that we’re going to need. We learned together, we sowed hope and shared the tremendous power of public schools across the state. People came to our side, they joined us, they found hope in action. [[link removed]]
With your help we accomplished so much this year:
✅ We added 1500 new volunteers who are fired up and ready to make change in 2026.
✅ Our volunteers raised their voices against harmful education policies at the federal, state, and local level, pushing back against book bans, anti-educator bills, anti-student legislation, voucher expansions, and so much more — and together we achieved many victories 🎉
✅ We presented our K12 Education Roadshow highlighting the state of education and the devastating impact of universal vouchers to 102 groups and to over 3500 Arizona parents, educators, and community members across the state.
✅ We expanded our voter registration program, and trained 88 new volunteers how to register voters — and we are just getting started.
✅ We developed and launched a deep canvassing program, training 121 deep canvassing volunteers on how to have meaningful, story-based conversations with their persuadable neighbors. Through these conversations, we listened to voters, shared stories, and collected critical data on messaging and sentiment across 1000s of Arizona voters.
✅We launched a School Board Fellowship supporting 17 newly elected school board members from Yuma to Flagstaff, Tucson to Payson, and many places in between. We provided training, mentorship opportunities, and support to ensure school board members have what they need to be successful and to stay in the role and serve their communities.

A grassroots group founded by moms, teachers, and amazing public education advocates from all corners of Arizona–like you— continues to fight against the combined billions of DeVos, the Waltons, the Koch machine, and other dark-money privatizers. And we know that with your help we will prevail and preserve the public education system that stands as a beacon for American progress and democracy.
All of this is possible because of your belief in public education and your support of our work.
To those who volunteered in our work, we appreciate you and love being in this work with you. To those who had the capacity to donate, we thank you for helping to power our cause. To those who are still deciding how to participate, we welcome you into our important 2026 mission and recognize that any act, small or large, is critical to making change.
Thank you for helping us work toward a future where all children can attain an excellent education at a free, accessible, inclusive public school in their local community.
