House Republicans just passed one of the most extreme anti-LGBTQ bills
that has ever come before Congress. If it becomes law, it will imprison
parents and healthcare professionals.

This policy isn’t just cruel. It’s radical.

If I had come out four or five years before I did, my parents would have
done the exact same thing that they did when I came out to them at 21.
They would have gone and talked, first, to their pastor and, second, to a
health care professional. They would have supported me — and if this bill
were law, they would have been put in jail.

For some of my Republican colleagues, these attacks on families and
doctors are the point. Targeting vulnerable kids gives these Republicans
the attention and self-importance that all bullies crave.

But that’s not what Congress is for. Our job should be working to improve
the lives of the people who elected us — and that’s what I’ve been focused
on every day.

As long as Republicans hold control of the House, Mike Johnson and Donald
Trump’s extreme agenda will continue unchecked.

with defending this seat. Will you chip in $5 or anything
you can before tomorrow's end-of-year deadline to support my re-election
campaign?
