Before I ask you to make a donation to help us close the gap on our $2 million goal ahead of the deadline tomorrow, I want to explain why your support matters so much. In my years as a civil rights attorney, I have never seen this volume and viciousness in government policies violating free speech rights, immigrants' rights, LGBTQ rights, and voting rights. We are in the fight of our lifetimes defending civil rights and civil liberties from attacks by the Trump administration and hostile state officials.

Since day one of President Trump's second term, the ACLU has fought back relentlessly. We've taken over 230 legal actions to block the administration's abuse of power, defend immigrants' rights, safeguard freedom of speech, and protect civil liberties for all. And in over 60% of those cases, our actions have already defeated, diluted, or delayed the administration's anti-rights agenda.

We organized tens of thousands of activists through our People Power volunteer network to call their elected officials, attend rallies and trainings, and apply public pressure to defend our rights.

Every one of these actions takes enormous resources – resources we won't have in the year ahead if we fall short of this year-end goal.
