Roy Cooper served our state as Governor, Attorney General, and a legislator before that. He expanded Medicaid to get more than 700,000 North Carolinians health insurance, stood up for abortion access, and fought for our public schools and students.

Michael Whatley is a former Big Oil lobbyist and Washington D.C. insider who fully supports the Republican bill that will rip Medicaid away from millions of Americans and is putting North Carolina’s entire health care system in jeopardy. If he’s elected, he’ll be nothing more than a yes-vote for the GOP’s dangerous agenda.

As North Carolina’s Governor, my top priority is serving the best interests of the people of this state. I know that my friend Roy has those same interests in mind and will fight for them every day on the floor of the U.S. Senate. That’s why he has my strong support in this toss-up race.
