Today ASAN is releasing our 2025 annual report, “We Protect Us”! You can find it here. This report gives highlights and an overhead view of just what we’ve been up to all year. While making this report, we have been filled with gratitude for our community. Without your support, none of this would be possible. As you read through, please accept our thanks. 2025 was a rough year, but we continue to endure, fighting for a better future.
This has been an incredibly challenging year for our community. We have faced historic Medicaid cuts, the return of dangerous lies about autistic people, and attacks on education and gender-affirming care. Our team has put all of our knowledge, strength and dedication into defending our community. Every time we have put out a call to action, you have risen to the occasion. We are grateful for your continued support.
“We Protect Us” talks about what we did this year. It talks about our work to:
- Fight dangerous misinformation about autism
- Protect Medicaid
- Protect education for disabled students
- Promote and share autistic voices
- And much more!
We welcome you to continue your support for our work. The fight for our community’s rights to live, work, and thrive shows no sign of slowing down in 2026, and this work would not be possible without you.
Want to support us? Here are some ways you can help us continue this important work:
- Donate to us directly here
- Or become a member and get exclusive perks here
- Start a Facebook fundraiser at no cost to you, and share with friends
- Buy a copy of Loud Hands or another one of our books here
- Get our new shirt from our Threadless shop
- Spread the word about us! You can tell your friends about us on social media, via email, or in person
Your support means that we can keep helping our community advocate for our rights. It becomes toolkits, white papers, and trainings and webinars for autistic organizers. We’re here to support the autistic community, and we’re not going anywhere.
Now more than ever, we need our community to continue speaking up for our rights. Together, we won't let anyone forget: nothing about us, without us!
