“It changes how I move through the world”

Dear John, 

The end of 2025 feels particularly heavy. Across Minnesota and across the country, ICE is terrorizing our communities. Donald Trump and his billionaire agenda are wreaking havoc, giving tax breaks to the ultra-wealthy while cutting healthcare and food benefits for everyday families. We have the most unproductive Congress in decades. 

In Minnesota, however, we are poised to be a beacon of hope for our country. We are proof that it is possible to have Paid Family Medical leave, free school lunch, dignity for renters, and good public schools. As ICE is tearing families apart, so too are families across Minnesota coming together to provide meals, support, and tell ICE they are not welcome. 

This gives me hope. We are the resistance. There are more people like us, and it’s time we invest in each other. As Molly, leader with Duluth Tenants, said about organizing, “It changes how I move through the world.”

We are building networks of connected people ready to stand up and protect our democracy. We are winning victories that improve our lives. We are not stopping at short-term gains, we are committed to organize over the long-haul, starting on the local level. And, we need your support.
