Dear John,
Back in March, I visited Children's Hospital Los Angeles with other cast members from The Pitt—and it was an experience I'll never forget. It started out with a CHLA doctor asking me to sign his board license. He told me he became a doctor because he grew up watching me play Dr. John Carter on ER.

I was honored, of course. But more than anything, I was in awe of the person in front of me. This guy, and all the rest of the doctors, nurses, and caregivers, are real heroes. I play a doctor on TV, but they are the ones holding a patient's hand during one of the toughest times of their lives. They are the ones fighting to save a child's future, no matter how complex or serious the diagnosis.

That moment—holding that doctor's license, hearing what inspired his path—reminded me just how extraordinary this hospital is and why supporting CHLA matters so much.
CHLA's staff never give anything less than their best to every single child they treat and I hope I can count on you to join me in making a gift of $10 or more to CHLA's Children's Fund. Your gift will be TRIPLE MATCHED, up to $500,000, by Credit Unions for Kids.

I grew up nearby, in Hollywood, and I have raised my three kids here in Los Angeles. So, when I walk the halls of this hospital, I don't just see a world-class children's hospital. I see a place where I could bring my kids if they needed it. I see a place where my friends and neighbors can turn when there's an emergency, and where families are welcomed with open arms when everything feels uncertain.

As a parent, and someone who deeply believes in the mission of this hospital, I hope you'll help CHLA finish the year strong. Your generosity today will help give kids in L.A. a chance to heal, thrive, and have a healthier future.
Thank you for standing with CHLA and the real heroes who make miracles happen for kids every day.
With gratitude,
