In Haiti, maternal and infant mortality rates remain among the highest in the Caribbean and Latin America. Nearly 60 percent of births in Port-au-Prince take place without medical care. Far too many women and pregnant adolescents die due to a lack of medical intervention.
In response, Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), in partnership with the Ministry of Public Health and Population, is supporting the reopening of the Isaïe Jeanty Maternity Hospital, which had closed during a wave of violence in 2024. Essential services include prenatal and postnatal care, contraception, treatment for sexually transmitted infections, obstetric surgery, and critical care for survivors of sexual violence.
Since the beginning of the year, prenatal consultations rose from 56 in January to 547 in July, while deliveries increased from 10 in April to 134 in August. Nearly 220 survivors of sexual violence received care from March to September, and our teams performed 18 surgical interventions in July, 37 in August, and 45 in September.
Access to lifesaving care remains out of reach for so many people, and we’re counting on you to help power our work. Help our teams meet this moment around the world by making a triple-matched donation before 2025 is over.

A devastating malnutrition crisis is unfolding across northern Nigeria. MSF staff working in 12 inpatient and over 30 outpatient feeding centers are often overwhelmed. To better meet the rising needs, MSF teams are using a holistic approach that recognizes that malnutrition is not just a medical emergency, but a psychological one as well.
Our teams have the expertise and knowledge to treat malnutrition. Years on the ground in Nigeria and Niger have shown that integrating mental health activities contributes to faster weight gain, shorter lengths of stay in inpatient feeding centers, and improved caregiver wellbeing. All MSF-supported hospitals in Nigeria have a playroom where caregivers and their children meet every day for mental health, education, and play sessions.
Between January and June 2025, MSF teams in northern Nigeria admitted 32,940 severely malnourished children to inpatient therapeutic feeding centers and 136,255 children to outpatient therapeutic feeding centers. To help families cope with the psychological toll of the crisis, MSF also conducted 30,880 mental health sessions during the same period—all made possible by support from our donors. Multiply your support for our teams of doctors, nurses, mental health experts, and more as they work to save lives in more than 75 countries with a triple-matched gift.

Since 2017, Rohingya refugees have fled targeted violence and persecution in Myanmar, seeking safety in neighboring Bangladesh. Today, over 1 million Rohingya refugees live in refugee camps in Cox’s Bazar.
In Cox’s Bazar, MSF runs eight health facilities, including hospitals and primary health clinics. Our teams provide emergency treatment, inpatient care, maternal and neonatal care, mental health support, and treatment for survivors of sexual and gender-based violence. In 2024 alone, we provided more than 624,000 outpatient consultations.
Our teams are also establishing three specialized hepatitis C treatment centers within existing health facilities. We are aiming to ensure that people who test positive for the virus are put on treatment quickly to improve their health and curb further spread of the virus in the camp.
None of this work is possible without you. Make the most of this triple-match by rushing in your gift to help deliver medical care where it’s needed most.
