In my last speech on the House floor, I talked about not knowing what was to come. But I also said, “We will not stand down, we will not be broken, we will not be silenced. We will rise and we will make tomorrow better than today.”
In my first book, She Will Rise, I talk about what that could look like. This book uses my personal story to illustrate the many obstacles women still face and how we can tear them down to finally reach full equality.
She Will Rise will be officially released just one week before the 100th anniversary of the ratification of the 19th amendment - when women earned the right to vote.
