Marjorie Taylor Greene goes scorched earth on Trump in splashy NYT feature

The spurned former Trump loyalist continues her image-washing tour of prestigious media outlets, this time sitting down with the New York Times to discuss her break with Trump. It all started, she says, with the Charlie Kirk memorial. Greene said she was struck by how Trump chooses to “hate” his “opponent. “It just shows where his heart is,” she later texted NYT reporter Rob Draper, writing: “It just shows where his heart is. And that’s the difference, with her having a sincere Christian faith, and proves that he does not have any faith.” Yeah, no shit, Sherlock. It is beyond ludicrous that she's expecting us to believe that after nearly a decade of blind fanaticism that all of a sudden she was bonked on the head by a large mallet and realized that Donald Trump is an exceptionally vicious narcissist who doesn't believe in anything but himself, but it IS very useful for Republicans to hear this kind of stuff from another Republican, so...thanks, we guess.

Proven winner Mallory McMorrow launches bid to protect VITAL battleground Senate seat

Mallory McMorrow for Senate: Progressive champion Mallory McMorrow gained national attention with her viral speech defending LGBTQ rights in the Michigan state Senate, and now she’s running to pick up the torch from retiring Senator Gary Peters. McMorrow has a proven history-making track record, having helped flip the Michigan Senate for the first time since the 80s and winning a blue trifecta. Now she’s ready to defeat MAGA extremist Mike Rogers and flip the US Senate blue. Will you chip in to jump-start her campaign?

More musicians cancel Kennedy Center concerts after board votes to add Trump's name to the building
Days after jazz legend Chuck Redd cancelled his Christmas concert, the Cookers have now canceled their New Years' Eve concert at the hall in protest of Donald Trump's takeover. Another artist, Kristy Lee, canceled her planned January 14th show, saying canceling shows hurts, “but losing my integrity would cost me more than any paycheck.” This is a disaster for Trump, who clearly wants to be associated with the class and prestige of the Kennedy Center but is now left with an empty venue with no shows and nobody willing to play there. He'd better have Kid Rock on speed dial!

CIA carried out drone strike on port facility on Venezuelan coast

It appears that the president was correct when he casually mentioned that we bombed another sovereign nation while on a radio show last week; CNN has now confirmed that a dock suspected to be used by the Tren de Aragua gang to load drug boats was destroyed in a drone strike. Nobody was present during the bombing and there were no casualties. While it's not as bad as we feared, it's still a massive escalation in the Trump team's efforts to provoke a war with Venezuela. Hello, Congress, anyone have anything to say about this?

Viral video prompts new scrutiny of alleged fraud, draws quick reaction from Minnesota regulators
A viral video by a right-wing YouTuber started a firestorm of hysteria in MAGAworld after he made baseless allegations of fraud in Minnesota's childcare assistance program, claiming that over $100 million in public funds had been misappropriated by Somali immigrant-run daycares. But Tikki Brown, commissioner of the Minnesota Department of Children, Youth, and Families, said each of the centers has been visited in the past six months, and none of those unannounced visits turned up evidence of fraud. She said the department has not yet found problems that warrant pausing payments to any of the centers. Once again, the right-wing is falling for fake news without a second thought just because it gives them the chance to be racist.
