This season is a time to reflect on faith, enjoy time with family, and give thanks for the blessings we share as Kansans and Americans. We hope your Christmas was filled with peace, joy, and the hope that comes through Christ. Announcing the Future of Flight As the Air Capital of the World, Kansas is leading the way in Advanced Air Mobility. Earlier this month, Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy announced the U.S. Department of Transportation’s AAM strategy—an exciting step forward that reflects our country’s long-term commitment to aviation innovation. This strategy will help shape the future of flight and strengthen America’s leadership in aerospace technology.  It was an honor to take part in the announcement and help introduce what is next for aviation, right here in Kansas. Lowering Health Care Premiums The House of Representatives passed the Lower Health Care Premiums for All Americans Act, a commonsense bill that lowers health insurance premiums, expands access to affordable coverage, and brings more transparency to the health care system. Unlike the failed policies of Obamacare, this bill delivers real reforms that reduce out-of-pocket costs and enable families and small businesses to choose the plans that work best for them. The bill restores a Trump-era policy to expand Association Health Plans, strengthens employer flexibility, and requires pharmacy benefit managers to disclose drug pricing practices that drive up premiums. Kansans are tired of rising costs and limited options. This bill is a step toward a health care system that works for everyone, not just big insurance companies. Giving Parents More Nutritious Options The House of Representatives passed the Whole Milk for Healthy Kids Act, a big win for parents, dairy farmers, and students across the country. I was proud to cosponsor this bill, which allows schools to serve whole and 2% milk as part of school meals. It gives families more flexibility and restores local control in school nutrition. Parents deserve the ability to make choices for their own children, not Washington bureaucrats. This legislation supports child development, expands access to nutritious options, and strengthens demand for high-quality dairy products produced by Kansas farm families.
