Team, I’m sure Donald Trump and his cronies are celebrating a “successful” first year in office as we speak, but let’s be real. Every day the Trump Administration finds new ways to pull the rug out from under Americans. Working families are facing higher health care costs and real financial uncertainty – and Trump doesn’t care.

While Americans go hungry and rack up medical bills, he’s fantasizing about jailing his political opponents. Trump is a liar, and his “affordability” promises are worth the same as his meme coins: zero.

Trump has done nothing but fuel chaos and make life harder for working families, but states like Illinois are stepping up to ease medical debt, lower costs, and prove that responsible leadership actually works.

Last month, historic elections across states like Virginia and New Jersey weren’t just Democratic wins – they were a referendum on Trump’s dangerous agenda. Voters like you sent a clear message: it’s time for leadership that delivers, not chaos that divides.

But the fight is far from over.

With 36 gubernatorial races on the ballot next year, the stakes couldn’t be higher for Democratic governors. If we’re going to stop Trump and his Republican allies in the states, we need to end 2025 strong – and start 2026 even stronger.
