* Unlike a lot of other members of Congress, I can’t make up the difference from my own pocket if we fall short of our goals. That’s how things go when you come from a working-class family and have beat the odds to get here.
* I represent the most competitive Democratic district in Colorado — but if we slip up here in CO-07? We can kiss any chance of a Democratic House majority goodbye.
* Finally, I’m asking for your support because I’m willing to bet we share a lot of the same values. We believe in an economy that puts regular people first, not the wealthy and well-connected. We believe in LGBTQ+ rights, abortion rights, and the hope that our democracy can — and will — withstand Donald Trump and his lawless administration.
