
As we head into the final days of the year, I want to be very clear about what this moment demands of us.
Donald Trump and his allies are testing the limits of power again — daring Congress to look away, daring the courts to blink, and daring the public to accept corruption, secrecy, and abuse as the new normal.
But I didn’t run for Congress to look away. I ran to fight back — to conduct real oversight, demand accountability, and make sure no president is above the law. That work is hard, it’s relentless, and it puts a target on your back. But it’s necessary.
Oversight isn’t symbolic. It involves subpoenas, investigations, court fights, and showing up where Donald Trump doesn’t want us. It requires a refusal to ever be intimidated or scared into silence.
So here are the stakes: If we fall short, Trump and his enablers win more silence. If we hit this goal, we send a message that accountability is not optional.
