John xxxxxx, it’s Wes.

I’ve been taking these final few days before the new year to reflect on
what this past year has meant — not just for me, but for Maryland.

Throughout 2025, Marylanders have been met with daunting challenges. From
the job losses inflicted by this federal administration's deep cuts to
federal agencies, to the continued onslaught of attacks on our fundamental
American rights and freedoms, families across our state have overcome so
much.

But in the face of 2025’s setbacks, we’ve risen to every single challenge.
We met pain with progress. We led by example and proved that Maryland can
be a state that serves all our people.

Together, we’ve created new good-paying jobs, cut taxes for veterans and
the middle class, and stemmed the tide of violent crime. Now, our goals
are more ambitious than ever. We’ve set out to make our public schools the
best in America, end childhood poverty, and ensure more Marylanders can
afford to live here, buy a home, and build the lives they deserve.

As we look toward 2026, it’s clear we have tough fights on the horizon.
Donald Trump has already set his sights on me, and he and his powerful GOP
allies are going to do everything possible to flip our state back to red
come November. It’s going to be an uphill battle to keep their MAGA agenda
out of Government House in this next election.

But this powerful team has never backed down from a fight. If our
opponents want to tear down our accomplishments, I say let them try.

The single most powerful way we can prepare for the challenges that lie
ahead is to invest in the size and strength of our campaign today — right
