I hope you’ve been enjoying the holidays with your loved ones and staying warm. We’ve done some incredible work together this year, but the work continues. We will be ringing in 2026 with renewed energy and big plans.
To do that we need your support. Any contribution to TYP Collaborative and A New Deal for Youth, whether it is $5 or $10, makes a real difference. As a small but mighty organization of 5 staff members, every dollar goes directly toward sustaining this work and resourcing young people.

My name is Luis Jonathan Hernandez, and I serve as the Powerbuilding Strategist for Youth Engagement at TYP. I have spent years working alongside young people navigating systems that were not built with them in mind - together we translate their lived experience into strategy, and move their ideas from conversation into action. We are not waiting for permission to lead, but your support will help us gain the resources, trust, and access to power that make lasting change possible.

In-Person Convenings - young people have expressed countless times how deeply meaningful it is to work and meet in person! We’re planning several convenings where youth-led, youth-centered, and youth-serving organizations can come together to create a shared set of values and goals, and chart a course forward
Stipends and Financial Resources for Young Leaders - we are strongly committed to paying young leaders for their expertise and partnership with us
Publishing our ND4Y Legislative Package - Changemakers have been working tirelessly to not only score existing legislation, but also to write their very own bills! We want to make sure our leg package encompasses all issue areas that impact young people but that requires a lot of time and support!
Creativity and the Arts - the ND4Y Album is only the beginning! We champion pushing the movement through young people’s uninhibited self-expressions through art and the creation of artistic projects and passions. More funding allows for more art pieces to come to life
