Dear John,
As the year comes to a close, we’ve been reflecting on what young people shared with us in 2025. They talked honestly about stress, pressure, and moments when school felt overwhelming. But they also shared something else: what changes when schools listen and respond.
When schools make small, intentional shifts, students tell us they feel more engaged, more supported, and more like they belong. One student on our Student Advisory Council ([link removed]) put it this way:
“When students feel our voices are heard, we’re more engaged, more connected, and more invested in school as a whole.”
This is the impact of centering student voices ([link removed]) . It helps schools create learning environments where young people feel cared for, challenged, and connected to their communities.
Your support makes this work possible. As we approach the end of the year, we are close to reaching our goal—but we still need your help. A gift before December 31 ([link removed]) will help ensure more students experience school as a place where they can truly thrive.
Thank you for standing with students and for believing in a healthier, more human vision of success.
Warmly,
Megan Pacheco
Executive Director
