* The Susquehanna Valley Chapter successfully helped stop the construction of a petrochemical plant and helped several towns create comprehensive Climate Action Plans to better protect people from the impacts of extreme weather.
* Climate Reality volunteers from the California Coalition pressured lawmakers to pass seven bills addressing climate this year. As a result of their advocacy, California will have less air pollution, more renewable energy, and increased energy capacity.
* And in North Carolina, Climate Reality Chapter volunteers successfully advocated to veto a bill that would have eliminated an energy company’s climate commitments and raised energy costs for consumers.

Our obstacles get a lot of press, but these are the kinds of people-powered victories our Climate Reality community is hard at work securing behind the scenes.
