I’ll take a Big Mac, fries, and a side of … voting rights?
Friend, when I was Ohio’s secretary of state, I made it my mission to register as many eligible voters as possible. That meant meeting people wherever they were – including at McDonald’s.
I reached out to McDonald’s and got them to print voter registration forms on their tray liners. They often came back to our office covered in ketchup and mustard stains, but we couldn’t have been more honored to accept them.

At the time, analysts at The Washington Post called our voter registration efforts “the most intensive and wide-ranging in the nation.” Don’t mind me humble bragging.
Whether as secretary of state or U.S. senator or just an American who believes that our democracy only works when we’re all able to make our voices heard, I’ve fought my whole life to protect and expand voting rights. I’m not stopping anytime soon.
But with D.C. politicians currently doing everything from gerrymandering to attacking vote-by-mail, I need your help to keep up the fight, friend.
Will you chip in $5 now so I can unseat my Republican opponent, retake the majority, and protect our democracy in the Senate? I’m relying on folks like you to fuel this campaign, especially ahead of the final FEC fundraising deadline of the year.
