The Trump administration's Department of Energy is trying to keep old coal and gas plants running past their planned retirement dates, falsely claiming energy emergencies. We're challenging these illegal orders that would cost consumers hundreds of millions while continuing to poison the air we breathe.
• Communities at risk from refinery disasters. More than 19 million people live near oil refineries that store massive amounts of hydrogen fluoride — a chemical so toxic that when released, it forms a ground-hugging fog that can travel for miles with sometimes fatal consequences. We're suing the EPA to force them to do their jobs and protect the public from this threat.
