Here’s why it’s important that we meet our fundraising goals:

* → We need to get the word out. Voters deserve to know about the policy plans we’ve built together. And having those conversations and getting our message out costs money.
* → We need to build the infrastructure to get our message out. Digital tools, ad space, in-person event costs — it all adds up.
* → We need the right team to power this movement. Our small and scrappy team is dedicated and talented. While I am notoriously frugal, as they would attest, I also believe they deserve to earn a living wage as do all workers in Colorado.

I don’t take a dime from billionaires or corporations. I’m proud that the movement we’re building looks like real democracy, guided by input from the bottom up.
