John,

For us, the movement to end gun violence is personal. Just after the first
show of our "Touch of the Beat" tour in Sacramento in 2022, our tour bus
was caught in the crossfire of a mass shooting that killed six people and
injured 12.

We're grateful that the friends, family, and crew who were with us were
unharmed—but the experience changed our lives, as gun violence has for so
many others in America. The terror of gun violence shouldn't be a part of
enjoying live music with friends, going to work, sending your kids to
school, or any part of daily life.

Since that time, we've used our platform as musical artists to support the
movement to end gun violence. We released our song "Sirens" about our
experience as survivors of a mass shooting last year on September 12—which
marked exactly 20 years since our elected leaders allowed the federal
assault weapons ban to expire in 2004. We even visited the White House at
that time to urge our leaders to reinstate the assault weapons ban.

We've also been proud to partner with Everytown in 2023 and again this
year with campaigns encouraging fans at our shows to take action in
support of Everytown's work for a chance to meet with us backstage.
Engaging our fans in an issue that has affected us personally has been
such a meaningful way for us to spread awareness and support this
movement.

For over a decade, Everytown has challenged the gun lobby, helping pass
life-saving gun safety laws at all levels of government. And with Moms
Demand Action and Students Demand Action, they've built a massive
grassroots movement of volunteers and advocates that's changing the
conversation about gun safety in America. By coming together, our
collective action is bringing us one step closer to a future free from gun
violence.

John, it's so important for us to work together to keep the
movement to end gun violence going strong. [ [link removed] ]That's why from now through
the end of the year, your donation to Everytown Action Fund, Moms Demand
Action, and Students Demand Action will be triple matched. Donate today
and triple your impact on their life-saving work.

Now is the time to take action to end gun violence. Thank you for
supporting this important cause.

Sincerely,

Aly and AJ
