For too long, I saw brilliant young leaders hesitate to run for office. I watched qualified, passionate women sit on the sidelines while men dominated our political landscape. I witnessed crucial voices go unheard in the rooms where decisions were made.

That's why I started Off the Sidelines.

I founded this organization because I believe our democracy is stronger when diverse voices have a seat at the table — and I'm not talking about just any seat. I'm talking about leadership positions.

Since launching Off the Sidelines, we've helped elect Democrats up and down the ballot. But right now, our progress is under threat.

With Republicans controlling the House and Senate, our hard-won gains on everything from health care to workers' rights are on the line.
