Good morning, John!
I’m getting caught up on some post-holiday campaign business. If you were the designated Christmas dinner host this week, you probably understand how I’m feeling right now, with only a four-day window to hit my first big finance goal of the cycle.
The pressure is high. Time is running short. My to-do list is long. The success of this entire operation rests on my shoulders.
However, when you spend almost two decades on Navy combatant ships, you learn to keep a cool head under pressure. So, yes, yes, and yes:
- Our End-of-Year FEC finance report will shape public perception of our campaign.
- It’ll determine the amount of money MAGA groups dump into this race, and the severity of the attacks my far-right opponent launches against me.
- It’ll measure our strength heading into 2026.
I remain undaunted. Pressure is just par for the course when you’re running in a Toss-Up district, and especially when you’re running for Congress during a once-in-a-century Constitutional Crisis.
Once we’ve crossed off this goal, my team and I can get back to building a turnout machine to reach voters in every corner of Coastal Virginia.
Fortunately, unlike those out-of-town relatives parked on the couch watching football, I know you'll lend a hand. Will you rush $25 to help me conquer our fundraising gap, flip VA-02, and win back our House majority?
I’m so grateful that you helped make the first two months of our campaign a resounding success. I can’t wait to see how far we’ll go together in the new year.
Yours,
Elaine Luria
