As this year comes to a close, we wanted to pause and say thank you. Because of the Vote Forward community, this year we showed up for democracy by working on key races, piloting new ideas, and learning more about the most effective ways to reach voters in highly consequential elections.

➡️ We ran targeted campaigns in elections where voter outreach had the power to make a big difference.
 
Vote Forward volunteers sent letters to voters in the Pennsylvania and Wisconsin Supreme Court elections, aiming to boost voter turnout in important statewide races that often fly under the radar. We also contacted hundreds of thousands of voters in California’s Prop 50 special election, the passage of which will have a meaningful impact on the 2026 midterms.
 
➡️ We expanded beyond letter writing, testing new tactics to discover what works ahead of the 2026 midterms and 2028 presidential elections.
 
This year, we tried two new voter engagement tactics: distributing personalized flyers in public spaces in California, and inviting voters who received letters in the Pennsylvania Supreme Court race to reach out to a team of trained Vote Forward volunteers for informational and motivational conversations. We’re committed to continuing to innovate in 2026 and beyond. We’re analyzing the results of these tests and will have more to share early next year!

Everything Vote Forward did this year was made possible by the incredible commitment of people like you. Whether you wrote letters, distributed flyers, staffed a phone line for voters to text and call, or helped out with a grassroots donation, your work made an impact.

As we close out 2025, we’re already looking ahead. Elections in 2026 will have a material impact on the future of our democracy, and our work to find the most effective methods of engaging voters will remain just as important.
