I hope you had a wonderful Christmas filled with joy.

As we look toward the new year, now is a great time to reflect on what is behind and before us. All throughout the Old Testament, God’s people are told to remember His work.

Here are three things I am thanking God for at Unto this year:

1. Progress toward our 2030 goals among the unreached

Are you familiar with Unto's 2030 goals? Through a lot of prayer and seeking discernment from the Lord, Unto has a set of goals we'd like to see accomplished by the year 2030. One of those is seeing a sustainable ministry established among 200 Unreached People Groups. This year you helped start ministry among 49 Unreached People Groups! That is no small feat. To see people who previously knew nothing about Jesus come to faith and engage in ongoing discipleship is truly jaw-dropping. We are now almost a quarter of the way toward our 2030 goals.

2. Changed lives in Malawi

This past summer, our women’s dignity and agriculture teams partnered with U.S. and Malawian college students to serve families in need. During the trip, a student named Gladys told us, “This changed my life.” She saw firsthand how meeting needs and sharing the gospel transforms lives and communities. She was inspired to do this among her own people.

3. Responding to the crisis in Southeast Asia

When a devastating 7.7 earthquake struck Myanmar (already ravaged by years of civil war), Unto and our partners were among the first to serve. You helped provide meals and water filtration systems. Our Ministering to the Brokenhearted team just completed a training for pastors and leaders on how to come alongside those who have experienced trauma. Together we are helping them maximize ministry during a time when many are hurting.

As we look ahead, we are trusting God to help us reach more than 100 additional Unreached People Groups in the coming year. Seven new countries have asked for help in meeting needs and sharing hope. We plan to expand our water filter projects and so much more.

Frankly, there are more needs than we can possibly meet. That is why your partnership is so critical. Your generosity ensures more people receive humanitarian aid and hear the gospel. Because of the special $305,000 matching gift, your gift will go twice as far.

I love the front row seat we have as God powerfully transforms lives and opens doors where the gospel has never gone. Thank you for going with us. Because of your partnership, families in the toughest places on earth are hearing about the hope found only in Jesus.
