Hunger Free America’s 2025 MLK Serve-A-Thon
At the beginning of each year, we kick off our calendar of in-person and virtual volunteer projects across the country with our MLK Serve-A-Thon—a nationwide, weekend-long event focused on coordinating service and action as a part of systemic change, the weekend of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
For over 20 years, Hunger Free America has honored Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s life's work with the annual Serve-A-Thon. Working with partners across the country in 2025, we had meaningful opportunities to serve in 23 different states!
Through this year’s event, we engaged 217 volunteers who volunteered 480 hours across 25 events, which included helping out partner organizations serve over 12,500 meals.
