Democratic governors had an incredible record of success in 2025, and they’re leading our country forward despite Donald Trump’s attempts to move us backward. Just take a look at these numbers:

1.4 million: This is the number of Michigan public school children who have free school meals thanks to Gov. Gretchen Whitmer this year – saving Michigan families an average of nearly $1,000 a year.

$20 million: This is the amount in emergency funds Gov. JB Pritzker has directed towards Illinois food banks this year to mitigate the harmful actions taken by the Trump administration to gut SNAP.

#1: This is the ranking the state of Massachusetts has achieved for education, health care, innovation, and now, state economy under Gov. Maura Healey.

25%: Gov. Tim Walz has proposed an historic budget that aims to reduce child poverty in Minnesota by a whopping 25%, making key investments in public education, child care costs, and more.

$900 million+: This is how much Gov. Josh Shapiro has allocated in additional pre-K–12 education funding in 2025.

23: This is the number of Democratic governors who are fighting back against Donald Trump’s administration every single day, suing to protect the fundamental freedoms of their constituents.
