I’m Adam Deitch — and I just announced my run for Norfolk County District attorney against Michael Morrissey.

Before I tell you a bit about me, I have to ask: will you rush $11, split between my campaign and Blue Vision before our very first deadline of our campaign so we can prove that we have what it takes to win?

My story starts in a small town like the ones that make up Norfolk County. I grew up in the middle of the middle class — and we were lucky enough to live in a community that was safe, had good policing, and trusted prosecutors to keep violent criminals off the street.

Growing up in a town like this, I was inspired to go into public service to keep communities like mine safe. So I joined the United States Attorney’s office in the Major Crimes Unit — taking on some of the toughest criminals and cases in our justice system.

The major crimes unit was difficult but rewarding work. I prosecuted drug dealers, violent criminals, and fought for victims every opportunity I could. One case you might have heard about was my prosecution of Steve Waithe, a college track and field coach who committed a series of truly abhorrent crimes against female athletes:

For the bulk of my time as a federal prosecutor, I worked in the Public Corruption Unit, where I investigated corruption in state and federal government. All the work the Department of Justice does is important, but this unit is unique because victims of corruption in the government are taxpayers just like you. In that role, and as has been publicly reported, I served as the lead Assistant U.S. Attorney in the federal investigation into the death of Boston Police Officer John O’Keefe and the ensuing state investigation and prosecution of Karen Read:

John— the people of Norfolk County deserve a District Attorney’s Office we can be proud of. In many ways, I believe the District Attorney is the most important person in elected office in any community, and the DA’s Office should be defined by competence, trust, and professionalism.

I worked in the most professional and trusted prosecutor’s office in New England. I have a unique perspective and a positive vision for the future of the DA’s Office in Norfolk County, but I need your support to get there. So that’s why I am asking for just $11 split between me and Blue Vision before the massive year-end-deadline of my campaign to restore trust to the Norfolk County District Attorney’s office.
