Friend, over the past year we faced immense challenges, but we also secured incredible wins. Your support makes everything we do possible, so before we recap 2025, we’re humbly asking:

Can you make a contribution to the National Immigration Law Center today? The donations we receive make a profound impact on our work on behalf of low-income immigrants and their families. ([link removed])

Here’s a brief review of NILC’s state wins against unjust policies:

We secured a huge victory for children and the right to education in Tennessee. Thanks to the collective effort of our Education for All Campaign and state partners like the Tennessee Immigrant and Refugee Rights coalition, we stopped the state legislature from passing SB 0836, a harmful bill that would have deprived students of their constitutional right to a public K-12 education based on their immigration status.

We filed a critical lawsuit to successfully stop Idaho’s HB 135, a law that would have forced people to prove their immigration status in order to access life-saving health care, including HIV medication and treatment. It was a danger to people’s lives and public health statewide. We successfully blocked the law ensuring that access to HIV treatment remains available for all immigrants throughout the state, while the court considers our full arguments.

Again, in Tennessee, we challenged the Governor’s illegal deployment of the National Guard to Memphis. It sent a powerful message that no governor or president can deploy military force into our communities without legal authority, public accountability, or a genuine emergency.

Our teams are gearing up for legislative sessions in the new year and partnering with local advocates to defend and uplift health care for all, fight back against National Guard deployments and ICE abuses, and create a 21st century immigration system where everyone has the chance to thrive.

The road ahead will be difficult, but we're giving this fight everything we’ve got. Our collective work — and your support — made these victories possible, and together, we will stand strong and keep fighting for justice. Please make a contribution before the year ends so this crucial work can continue: ([link removed])
