Happy holidays.
However this season looks for you – whether you’re celebrating Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, or just enjoying a rare chance to slow down – I hope it brings you peace and joy.
The holidays have always been a special time of year for my family. While we didn’t always have a lot, the time we spent together meant the world to me.
One of my favorite traditions when growing up was visiting my great-aunt, Enid, at the big red barn in Cooper. Every year, her Christmas craft sale brought neighbors together from Greene County and beyond to celebrate the season.
And one of the most special surprises from the campaign trail has been hearing from families across the district who still pull out their Aunt Enid ornaments each year — some of them dating back to the ’70s and ’80s!
It’s been a powerful reminder that this community has always been about showing up for one another.
I’ve carried that value with me my entire life – and it’s what guided me to run for Congress in Iowa’s Third Congressional District.
Right now, too many Iowans are feeling abandoned by the very people who took oaths and swore to serve them.
Republicans like Zach Nunn are putting their own ambitions ahead of doing what’s right for our communities… what’s needed for our communities.
I’m running for Congress to give a voice back to the people. To restore leadership in IA-03. To deliver results that will improve the lives of everyday Iowans.
And I know that with you on my team, we can do just that.
But we have a long road ahead to defeat Zach Nunn, flip the district, and help take back a Democratic House Majority.
So this holiday season, I hope you take time to relax, spend time with loved ones, and do whatever brings you joy. Because once the holidays have passed, it’s full steam ahead.
Wishing you the best,
Jennifer Konfrst
