| Isaiah 9:6 says: “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” On Christmas, we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and the hope his birth brings to the world. May we always remember the true meaning of the season as we enjoy time with family, friends, and loved ones this holiday season. Whether you’re on the road, in a deer stand, or back home at the kitchen table this week, my wife Christie and I want to wish you a truly joyous, safe, and blessed Christmas. As we celebrate both the Savior and the Creator, it’s also a time of deep reflection and gratitude. Despite our country’s many challenges, we’re blessed to live in the greatest, most free nation in the history of the world. May we never take that for granted. I want to thank you, Oklahoma, for gifting me the opportunity to serve you and our state: first in the U.S. House of Representatives and now in the U.S. Senate. It’s the greatest blessing to fight for the Sooner State in Congress, and to give back to the state that has given me everything. Merry Christmas, Oklahoma! May God bless you and your loved ones as we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior. From our family to yours, Merry Christmas, Markwayne |
