As many others more eloquent than I have said, the only way out of our current predicament is together with love and hope. The process of making that future come to fruition is our burden and obligation.

Greetings fellow Democrats and fellow Jacksonites!

We wish you, and your family, a very happy holidays, and hope you will have a great week, even if you are working!

In this holiday season, we are grateful that all 3 of our ski resorts are open, albeit some more than others, due to a lack of snowfall. While there has been snowfall, the temperatures have not fully kept up. Please be aware of backcountry conditions (check the BTAC ([link removed]) site before heading out!) and consider other winter activities such as snowshoeing, the library ([link removed]) and our museums-with a focus on art ([link removed]) , as well as local and regional history ([link removed]) .


Housing News
The Nelson Drive housing proposal ([link removed]) has been passed, with the Town (not the County), agreeing to use Special Purpose Excise Tax funds earmarked for housing purposes. This creates 6 units of varying sizes for our Town employees, who must satisfy a certain set of income limit rules. This collaboration between the Town, the United States Forest Service, and the Jackson Hole Community Housing Trust is beneficial to our community. While some may be skeptical of the financial aspect of this project, which is understandable, there will be further opportunity to discuss the next phase of this project in January, when the Board of County Commissioners will bring it up for consideration. We will update you with more info when it is available.

We are forming committees based around local issues-communications, elections, and others! The midterms are coming up, and we will be needing everyone's help! Contact us if you're able and willing to help out!
