Dear Patriot,

The above painting of George Washington crossing the Delaware river on Christmas night in 1776 symbolizes your importance to today's American cause.  Please accept my heartfelt thanks for your support.

Like you, George Washington understood that some causes cannot wait for safer seasons.

In December 1776, Washington’s Continental Army — many without shoes, short of supplies, and greatly demoralized from a series of defeats and defections — faced the well-clothed and well-equipped British army across the Delaware river.  The weather was treacherous and river was clogged by ice jams.

Nevertheless, Washington ordered a counterattack — the most audacious decision of the war.  He realized further retreat could well mean the end of the fight for Independence and the American Cause. Two centuries later, his action still astounds.  He knew his fight was for future generations, for those not yet born.  And he did his duty.

He crossed the river. Within 90 minutes, he defeated the enemy capturing over 900 prisoners.

This Christmas season, you and I are confronted by the same challenges to the American Cause — school districts that trample parental rights, governmental officials who silence religious expression, and bureaucrats who exceed their lawful authority.

This Christmas season, you and the Thomas More Law Center carry the same responsibility as Washington did in 1776 — continue our fight for freedom as a patriotic duty.

As 2025 ends, please know that in the years ahead the Thomas More Law Center will continue to defend America’s fundamental freedoms, parental rights, and the Judeo-Christian principles that have guided our Nation since its founding.

If you have not yet made a donation or want to make another donation before the end of the year to obtain further deductions on your 2025 federal income tax, you can make an online donation by December 31, 2025.  If you choose to donate by mail, your envelope must be postmarked by December 31, 2025.

Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

God bless you. God bless America.
