Here’s why this deadline is so important:
With most people taking time to rest and be with loved ones, donations tend to slow down at the end of the year.
But the work doesn’t pause — and neither do Trump and MAGA Republicans’ attacks on working people. That’s why supporters stepping up right now make such a big difference.
Just last week, House Democrats successfully passed a discharge petition that will force a vote to extend the Affordable Care Act subsidies that make health insurance premiums affordable for millions — but Mike Johnson is still refusing to hold a vote until the new year.
If those credits are allowed to lapse, premiums will rise by an average of $1,016 next year.
When Congress returns next month, Republicans will do everything they can to vote those extensions down. Pramila will be on the front lines fighting back, pushing to protect coverage, lower costs, and stop families from losing care.
But she can’t do it alone.
